Personalised planning,
grounded guidance.
Experience, sound judgement and a genuine care for education
Most families first meet me because they need help with university admissions. But my work has always been guided by a bigger question: what kind of education helps a young person thrive, not simply gain admission?
I’m Claire, a university admissions consultant with a deep commitment to international education. I have supported students from China, Canada, New Zealand, Portugal and beyond. They have received offers from leading universities, including US Top 30 institutions, the UK G5, Canada’s Top 3, Singapore’s Top 2 and Hong Kong’s Top 5.
I studied English Language and Literature at Peking University, where I ranked first in my year in my major courses and received the National Scholarship. I also spent a year at UCLA as an exchange student. Later, I received a scholarship to complete a Master of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I was the only student in my programme to receive research funding from the Ross School of Business, which supported my field research in development finance in Indonesia. Studying and working across different countries and education systems taught me how to see each student’s strengths in context and help them find the right fit.
Since 2018, I have focused on university planning and admissions. I work with the IB, A-Level, US high school AP and Canadian provincial curricula. My advice begins with the student: their academic record, interests, personality and long-term goals. I also have a strong background in language education. I achieved an IELTS score of 8.5 and developed my own IELTS writing course, with a focus on clear thinking and effective communication.
I know first-hand what it takes to succeed in a highly competitive education system. I also believe that grades never tell the whole story. A university offer is not the finish line. The deeper goal is to help each student build a strong inner foundation: self-awareness, independence and healthy relationships. These qualities matter far beyond university.
My approach is calm, honest and long-term. I do not overstate, overpackage or make promises I cannot keep. I share what is useful, explain what is realistic and help each family move forward with clarity and confidence.
